They would have brought the car to more markets then just two or three. Considering the automobile market in america is one of the largest in the world, nissan must of saw something that led them to not export it to europe/america.Think about it. 5 guys sitting around a corporate board room (drinking coffee discussing the events of the day), decided that America wasn't a very good market for the Skyline. I think when they realized that they were already selling the virtually identical Nissan Sentra (FWD 4 cylinder version), they would have too many cars in the market. If you think more, in that time, they borught the nissan 240sx, maxima, 300zx, sentra, and who knows what else...they already had a lot of cars in the market. Anyway, i think it's time you start a letter writing campaign... I'm not against the sentra/skyline... i just don't understand it's appeal... it doesn't compute... it all boils back down to 'whats least functional is obviously the coolest'... while that is an obvious overstatement, it does has a slight taste of truth to it. Warmest regards, -meatball.
